Minimum Requirements:
National Senior Certificate
Candidates must have a valid drivers license
A Diploma or Degree in Mining or Civil Engineering will be advantageous
Must have an open pit blasting or rock breaking certificate.
Competency A, Legal Liability
Minimum of 5 years experience in an open pit mining environment
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
Must have proven experience with open pit heavy equipment fleet and open pit operations and mechanical inclined
Responsibilities:
Compliance with all safety regulations as set out in the mines policies
Execution of planned production activities
Ensuring targets are achieved
Pre-shift meeting and inspection of work areas
Monitors performance by means of reports, charts, graphs, studies, and visual inspections
