To qualify for this position, you must have the qualification and experience:

  • Completed SAIPA / SAICA articles
  • Experience and good knowledge of Legal Trust accounting, IFRS for SMEs, VAT and Income Tax
  • Technical proficiency in LexisNexis, Caseware Working Papers and Xero Accounting
  • Experience in AJS accounting software (advantage)
  • Furthermore, the ideal candidate must have strong administration skills, excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, and be able to deliver an outstanding client service
  • The ability to work independently and proactively is a prerequisite

 

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Process trust EFT payments
  • Manage and maintain business creditors and correspondents
  • Processing of all transactions up to trial balance, including invoicing when required
  • Monthly processing of accounting transaction and VAT reporting
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Assisting external auditors with the annual audit
  • Assist with client queries as/when required
  • General accounting admin
  • Ensuring all source documents are safely stored and kept
