Hire Resolve's client is seeking a Geologist/Hydrogeologist to join their team in a consulting capacity to mining companies in South Africa.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing field investigations and data collection, analyzing geological and hydrogeological data, and providing technical support for environmental projects
  • Managing and implementing site investigations and remediation projects
  • Conducting soil and groundwater sampling and analysis
  • Preparing technical reports and presenting findings to clients and regulatory agencies
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective solutions
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in geology and hydrogeology

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Geologist or Hydrogeologist
  • Strong understanding of geological and hydrogeological principles and processes
  • Experience with field investigations, sampling techniques, and data collection
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in GIS and other relevant software
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites
