Responsibilities

  • Direct the strategy, prioritization, and execution of innovation projects at local, regional, and global levels.
  • Supervise product development, improvement, and commercialization, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to shape and refine R&D strategies.
  • Work closely with global Centers of Excellence (COEs) and cross-functional teams to implement and expand innovations.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept through to market introduction.
  • Ensure that products are manufactured with optimal efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and flexibility.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and co-manufacturers to ensure smooth project transitions.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, and factory teams to align innovation efforts with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with global COEs and Technology teams to define long-term innovation strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a large team of R&D professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and innovation.
  • Motivate and engage team members to align their efforts with the company’s goals.
  • Influence stakeholders and provide expert advice to guide business strategies and innovation pipelines.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration to meet financial goals and business priorities.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and ensure the smooth and timely execution of product development processes.
  • Drive efficient innovation processes to ensure products are launched on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Product Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced degree is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience in R&D, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership positions.
  • Proven success in leading innovation initiatives, including product development and market introduction.
  • Experience in the bakery and emulsions industries is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with hands-on experience in product development.
  • Ability to think strategically and turn market insights into actionable R&D plans.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong business acumen, including experience in managing budgets and resources.
  • Results-oriented, innovative mindset with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous situations.
