Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to join our team, responsible for extracting, transforming, and presenting data from accounting and payroll systems, with a specific focus on Sage 300. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQL development, proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and similar reporting software, and the ability to query REST and SOAP web services.

Responsibilities:

  • Extract, transform, and load data from accounting and payroll systems, primarily Sage 300, using SQL.
  • Develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards in Excel, Power BI, and other relevant reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Optimize SQL queries and database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval.
  • Query and integrate data from REST and SOAP web services.
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Ensure data integrity and security across all processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role, with a focus on accounting and payroll systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and database management, with a strong understanding of relational databases.
  • Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting and payroll systems.
  • Solid understanding of data visualization principles and experience with Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with REST and SOAP web services, and the ability to query and integrate data from these sources.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
