As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Buyer to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to oversee procurement activities within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success at the senior buying level, preferably within the FMCG field. Experience in the liquor industry would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and agreements.
  3. Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational goals and objectives.
  5. Lead the procurement team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to junior buyers.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to meet demand and minimize stockouts.
  7. Evaluate supplier performance against key metrics, implementing corrective actions as necessary to drive continuous improvement.
  8. Stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement and supply chain management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a senior buying role within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record of success in negotiating and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience in the liquor industry would be advantageous.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary range: R50,000 to R60,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications).
  • Provident fund benefits.
