What We're Looking For:

The Bay Hotel with the majestic Twelve Apostle Mountain range as a backdrop and the Atlantic Ocean less than a minutes’ walk away, in the heart of glitzy Camps Bay has a position for an In-house Upholsterer to join their team of extraordinary people.

What Is Required:

As an In-House Upholsterer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic and comfort of our guest accommodations and public areas. Your primary responsibility is to repair, restore, and customize upholstery on furniture and fixtures, ensuring that everything meets the high standards of quality and luxury that our guests expect.

You will work closely with the property management and maintenance teams to address upholstery needs, from routine repairs to specialized refurbishments. Your work will contribute to creating a welcoming and stylish environment that reflects the property’s commitment to excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Upholsterer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of upholstered furniture projects.
• Proficient in various upholstery techniques, including but not limited to fabric cutting, sewing, and stapling.
• Excellent understanding of different fabrics, materials, and their suitability for various furniture types.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and collaboration skills.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of the job.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for staying updated on industry trends.
• Excellent Industry contacts for sourcing of materials
