A client of Managed Talent Solutions in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha is looking for a Materials Management (MM) Systems Specialist with experience in a Manufacturing plant.  The MM Systems Specialist is responsible for the management, maintenance and optimization of the ERP Systems MM module, including inventory management and procurement processes. This will be a contract position for 2 years with opportunity for permanent employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar qualification
  • Relevant SAP Certification / Business & Systems Analysis
  • Experience with SAP MM integration with other SAP modules such as FI, CO, and SD
  • Experience with SAP MM integration with other SAP modules such as FI, CO, and SD
  • Knowledge of procurement and inventory management processes
  • Experience across SAP industry solutions is highly preferred

EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years experience in SAP support, consulting, implementing and configuring in the MM streams. Experience in the Motor Industry and / or an Industrial Plant environment is an advantage

 KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the functional availability and QOS of the MM modules including performing daily routine tasks and maintenance.
  • Maintain SAP MM master data, including materials, vendors, and purchasing info records
  • Maintain SAP MM purchasing documents, including purchase orders, purchase requisitions, and requests for quotation
  • Maintain SAP MM inventory management, including goods receipt, goods issue, and physical inventory
  • Maintain SAP MM pricing procedures and conditions
  • Provide end-user support and training for SAP MM processes and procedures
  • Interpret business requirements and provide solutions including gap analysis, business process engineering and mapping, configuration, testing and roll out
  • Identify, and recommends opportunities for productivity improvements and implementations where agreed.
  • Ensure corporate procedures are maintained, including change management processes and escalate incidents to group level where applicable
  • Track and manage ERP requests on relevant corporate systems, including incident and crisis management.
