Our client, a luxury collection of boutique hotels, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform monthly variance analysis of the income statement and balance sheet.
  • Review and maintain ledgers to ensure accurate coding of revenue and costs.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive financial and management accounts.
  • Prepare monthly VAT Turnover reconciliation and submit VAT 201 forms.
  • Verify and reconcile stock transactions and report any discrepancies.
  • Manage HP finance, maintain fixed asset registers, and oversee depreciation schedules.
  • Support the preparation of documents for SARS audits and assist with audit file preparation for internal and external auditors.
  • Manage multiple group companies and handle various operationally intensive tasks simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance to ensure strong financial controls.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant senior bookkeeping qualifications or studies.
  • BCom Accounting/Finance degree is an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of experience in an accounting role, ideally within a small to medium-sized, operationally intensive business.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple group companies and diverse tasks concurrently.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with XERO; knowledge of Spotlight Reporting is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and pivot tables.
