Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly variance analysis of the income statement and balance sheet.
- Review and maintain ledgers to ensure accurate coding of revenue and costs.
- Assist in preparing comprehensive financial and management accounts.
- Prepare monthly VAT Turnover reconciliation and submit VAT 201 forms.
- Verify and reconcile stock transactions and report any discrepancies.
- Manage HP finance, maintain fixed asset registers, and oversee depreciation schedules.
- Support the preparation of documents for SARS audits and assist with audit file preparation for internal and external auditors.
- Manage multiple group companies and handle various operationally intensive tasks simultaneously.
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance to ensure strong financial controls.
- Relevant senior bookkeeping qualifications or studies.
- BCom Accounting/Finance degree is an advantage.
- At least 10 years of experience in an accounting role, ideally within a small to medium-sized, operationally intensive business.
- Proven ability to manage multiple group companies and diverse tasks concurrently.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience with XERO; knowledge of Spotlight Reporting is advantageous.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and pivot tables.
- Versatile Expertise: Broad experience in various accounting tasks and financial management, particularly in operationally intensive environments.
