Surveyor- SS/TL

Our client has a big solar/substation project in Upington and is looking for a Surveyor- SS (Substation)/TL (Transmission Line), to start in March 2024.

Salary: Market related

Employment Type: Contract work

Requirements:

1.  Surveyor Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Substations, with a proven track record of two or more power projects.
2.  Professional Registration: SAGC and power line experience.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Conducting topographic surveys to assess the project site
2. Providing accurate data for substation and transmission line layout planning
3. Collaborating with design and engineering teams to ensure alignment with project specifications
4. Verifying legal boundaries and property lines related to substations and transmission lines
5. Overseeing the installation and layout of substation components or transmission line structures
6. Conducting as-built surveys for documentation purposes
7. Collaborating with construction teams to ensure accurate implementation
8. Monitoring and reporting on survey-related activities throughout the project.
