Job Description

  • Greeting customers
  • Answering questions
  • Obtaining preliminary patient histories
  • Performing administrative duties, such as keeping records, scheduling appointments, filing insurance claims, performing bookkeeping, and managing inventory
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Verifying insurance benefits
  • Collecting payments
  • Ensuring the smooth flow and operation of an optometrist's office
  • Advising patients on how to properly store their contact lenses and assisting in choosing frames for glasses

Qualifications

  • Must have reception experience preferably within an optometrist/medical practice.
  • Must be able to work over weekends
