This is a full-time role for a Junior Accountant / Payroll Administrator located in Somerset West. The Accountant / Payroll Administrator will be responsible for managing financial records (accounting), processing payroll, audit preparation, record-keeping, providing financial analysis and reporting and administrative services. They will also ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations (SARS and Accounting Standards) and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial documentation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (minimum of 3 years) as an Accountant and Payroll Administrator
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Sage One and Simple Pay) and MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Accounting
  • Bi-lingual (Afrikaans and English)
  • Driver's license and own vehicle)
  • Professional certification (SAIPA) is a plus
