Job Description:

Our client is on the hunt for a Finance Leader with a founder’s mentality—someone who brings not only technical know-how but also an unstoppable commitment to other fintech's long-term vision.   • Familiar with compliance in regulated markets, ideally within African jurisdictions, to ensure seamless adherence to financial reporting and regulatory requirements.


Deep Knowledge of Fintech and Payments
  • Extensive background in financial services or payments, ideally within Africa, to bring valuable insights that directly inform product and market strategies.
  • A clear understanding of fintech trends and challenges, particularly in cross-border payments and remittances, to help refine product offerings and support the company’s growth goals.
  • Ability to align financial strategies with customer value, championing transparency and affordability in pricing, crucial for building trust in the fintech space.

Requirements

What it takes to succeed: 

  • A qualified accountant with 8+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally within fast-paced financial services or FinTech environments.
  • Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial roles where they contributed significantly to financial strategy and supported the company’s scaling efforts.
  • Capable of overseeing both daily financial operations and long-term planning, ideally having worked in companies where they helped establish scalable finance functions.
  • Proven ability to implement technology-driven solutions to drive financial efficiency, demonstrating a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
