Job Purpose:
The candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing financial strategies to ensure the financial health and stability of the division. This role will involve working closely with senior management and other team members to drive financial performance and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end closing process and prepare control account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish financial goals and objectives.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare budgets, financial reports, forecasts and performance analysis.
  • Manage internal and external audit processes with the Finance Executive.
  • Prepare AFS and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Review and approval of payment requisitions prior to submission and approval by the Finance Executive.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, business partners, and colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completed B Com Accountant
  • Completed SAIPA Articles
  • Knowledge of IFRS.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry sector and regulations.
