Electrical Engineer
Position Overview A reputable employer is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving electrical systems in accordance with project specifications, technical requirements, and applicable safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, strong technical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to translate electrical requirements into practical and efficient designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and technical layouts according to project requirements.
- Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Perform electrical calculations and ensure designs meet required specifications and safety standards.
- Select suitable electrical components, equipment, and materials for projects.
- Review and modify existing electrical designs to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other project team members to ensure successful project execution.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving electrical design and technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical regulations, industry standards, and quality requirements.
- Monitor project progress and provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning where required.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of electrical system design and engineering principles.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant engineering design software.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
