About the Role
Our client, a leading proprietary trading firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Trader to join their fully remote trading desk. This role is perfect for a highly disciplined and analytical individual with a proven track record of profitability in fast-paced markets. You will be responsible for managing your own trading book, developing and executing trading strategies, and managing risk effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute profitable trading strategies across various asset classes (e.g., equities, FX, derivatives, commodities).
- Manage trading positions, monitor market movements, and implement risk management controls.
- Conduct real-time market analysis, identify trading opportunities, and react swiftly to market events.
- Maintain detailed trading logs and performance reports.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts and risk managers to refine strategies and risk models.
- Stay informed about global economic news, geopolitical events, and their impact on markets.
- Adhere strictly to firm policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical trading practices.
- Contribute to the firm's trading strategy discussions and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously improve trading methodologies and tools.
- Manage personal trading book risk and P&L effectively.
Requirements
- Proven track record of consistent profitability as a trader, ideally with at least 5 years of experience.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, trading mechanics, and various asset classes.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to process information rapidly.
- Proficiency in using trading platforms and market data analysis tools.
- Excellent risk management skills and a disciplined approach to trading.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage pressure in a fully remote environment.
- Strong understanding of Banking & Finance regulations relevant to trading.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
