About the Role
Our client is looking for a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver with a commercial background to join their team in Mossel Bay . This role involves the safe and timely delivery of goods to various customer locations. You will be responsible for operating a commercial vehicle, ensuring the cargo is handled properly, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries. This is a hands‑on position that requires excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper maintenance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that goods are handled carefully and are secured properly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients during delivery and pick-up.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of all transported items.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic regulations .
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Excellent time management and route planning skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
