About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior PR Specialist to join their dynamic team in Cape Town. This role involves developing and executing strategic public relations plans to enhance the company's brand reputation and media presence. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to craft compelling narratives and manage all aspects of media communications. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated PR campaigns across various media channels.
- Manage relationships with key media contacts, journalists, and industry influencers in Cape Town.
- Write and edit high-quality press releases, articles, speeches, and social media content.
- Monitor media coverage, analyze results, and report on campaign effectiveness.
- Assist in developing and implementing crisis communication plans as needed.
- Collaborate with marketing and other departments to ensure consistent brand messaging.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of hands‑on experience in public relations or corporate communications.
- Demonstrated success in securing media coverage and managing PR campaigns.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of media relations, social media, and digital communications.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
