Job Vacancy: Sales Associate
The Sales Associate will play a key role in driving customer engagement and supporting regional sales growth. The incumbent will be expected to spend a significant portion of their time engaging directly with customers, building relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and supporting the achievement of sales targets within an allocated region. Working closely with Regional Business Managers and internal stakeholders, the Sales Associate will combine customer-facing sales activity with internal sales support responsibilities, including quotations, tenders, order management, CRM updates, customer queries, pipeline tracking, and sales reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Regional Sales Target: Contribute towards the achievement of agreed sales targets for the allocated region by supporting sales activities, identifying opportunities, following up on leads, and assisting with the execution of regional sales plans.
- Customer Engagement and Relationship Building: Spend significant time in front of customers to understand their needs, maintain strong relationships, promote Conlog’s products and solutions, and support customer retention and growth.
- Sales Opportunity Management: Assist in identifying, qualifying, and progressing sales opportunities within the region, ensuring opportunities are tracked, followed up, and updated timeously on CRM.
- Account and Market Support: Support Regional Business Managers with account planning, customer visits, market intelligence, competitor insights, customer presentations, and the coordination of actions required to grow regional revenue.
- Quotations and Tender Administration: Prepare, coordinate, and track quotations, tender documentation, pricing inputs, and commercial submissions in collaboration with Sales, Technical, Finance, Supply Chain, and other internal teams.
- Order Management and Customer Follow-Up: Support the order management process by ensuring accurate order capture, following up on delivery progress, coordinating required documentation, and communicating updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- CRM, Pipeline and Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, opportunity, quotation, activity, and pipeline information on CRM and internal systems to support sales forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Internal Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to resolve customer queries, coordinate technical and commercial inputs, support issue resolution, and ensure a professional customer experience.
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in external sales, sales support, internal sales, customer service, commercial administration, or a related sales environment.
- Experience engaging directly with customers, supporting regional sales activities, or working towards sales targets will be advantageous.
- Experience working with quotations, tenders, order processing, customer queries, and sales documentation will be advantageous.
- Exposure to CRM or ERP systems, including SAP or Salesforce, will be advantageous.
- Experience in electronics, utilities, metering, telecoms, software, or technical product environments will be advantageous.
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to maintain accurate records, reports, pipeline updates, and customer information.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly for customer visits and regional sales activities.
- Commercially minded and target-driven, with the ability to support sales growth and customer retention.
