About the Role
I’m partnering with a leading organisation undergoing an exciting period of digital transformation, and we’re looking to connect with an experienced Senior Web Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused on building modern, scalable web applications and shared platform capabilities using TypeScript, React and Next.js . You’ll work closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams to build high-quality digital experiences used across multiple markets. What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, build and maintain modern web applications, services and shared platform foundations
- Develop scalable and maintainable solutions across core user journeys, content experiences and integrations
- Build reusable components, patterns and standards that contribute to a scalable design system
- Contribute to the evolution of a multi-market web platform
- Work across the stack where required, including APIs, integrations and middle-tier services
- Partner closely with Product and Design to turn requirements and prototypes into robust technical solutions
- Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD and reliable release processes
- Help improve engineering standards, development practices and overall code quality
- Consider web performance, accessibility and SEO throughout development
- Make pragmatic technical decisions balancing quality, delivery speed and long-term maintainability What We’re Looking For
- Strong professional experience building modern web applications in production
- Hands-on experience with:
- TypeScript
- React
- Next.js
- Storybook
- Strong understanding of scalable web architecture and component-driven development
- Experience working with APIs, integrations and shared platform/middle-tier services
- Strong understanding of automated testing and engineering quality
- Experience with CI/CD and modern software delivery practices
- Good understanding of web performance, accessibility and SEO
- Experience working within cross-functional Product, Design and Engineering teams
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Good technical judgement with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving Desirable
- Experience with headless CMS platforms
- Experience working with design systems
- Experience working on multi-market or international digital platforms
- Relevant degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience The Opportunity This is a great opportunity for a senior engineer who wants to have genuine technical input into a modern web platform, while working across frontend, integrations and broader platform capabilities .
