- Grade 12
- 8 Years experience
- Must have DALRRD registration card for Vegetation control or Turf & Ornamental
- Inspect properties to identify signs of pest infestation and determine the source.
- Identify different types of pests and assess the extent of infestations.
- Develop appropriate pest-control treatment plans.
- Apply pesticides, insecticides, rodenticides and other approved pest-control products safely.
- Conduct treatments for pests such as cockroaches, ants, termites, rodents, flies, mosquitoes and bedbugs.
- Install and monitor traps, bait stations and other pest-control equipment.
- Carry out fumigation and other specialised treatments where appropriately authorised.
- Follow product labels, safety procedures and applicable legislation when handling chemicals.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Protect people, animals, food, equipment and property during treatment.
- Provide customers with instructions on preparation, treatment and post-treatment precautions.
- Conduct follow-up inspections and additional treatments where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, chemicals used and customer details.
- Maintain and clean pest-control equipment, vehicles and tools.
- Store and transport chemicals safely.
- Identify potential pest-entry points and recommend preventative measures.
- Report serious infestations, structural issues or safety concerns to the supervisor or client.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and provide good customer service.
- Comply with occupational health and safety, environmental and pest-control regulations. Work
