We are looking for a talented individual with the relevant skills and experience for the Special Events Assistant role, based in Polokwane. The successful candidate will report directly to the Special Events Coordinator. Driving, operating and maintaining roadshow and delivery trucks. Playing different music genres with understanding of market suitability & Stock deliveries and collections. Assist with the execution of events branding and equipment activations according to best practices. • Event Setup & Breakdown Support Assist with preparation, setup, branding installation, activation support, and breakdown of events, roadshows, and promotional activities in line with operational standards and event requirements.
• Stock & Asset Handling Load, offload, count, reconcile, and safeguard event stock, branding materials, promotional assets, equipment, and operational tools to ensure accountability and operational readiness.
• Consumer Activation & Brand Support Support execution of experiential marketing activities, product promotions, sampling activities, and consumer engagement initiatives to improve brand visibility and event impact.
• Logistics & Operational Assistance Support Coordinators and Drivers with logistics activities including event preparation, stock movement, equipment handling, venue preparation, and operational support during events.
• Branding & Promotional Compliance Ensure branding materials, signage, gazebos, coolers, and promotional displays are clean, presentable, and aligned to company branding standards.
• SHEQ & Safety Compliance Adhere to SHEQ standards, PPE requirements, operational safety procedures, and company governance standards during all event and operational activities.
• Customer & Stakeholder Support Provide professional support to customers, consumers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure positive event experiences and service excellence.
• Team Collaboration & Operational Discipline Work collaboratively with Drivers, Coordinators, warehouse teams, and event crews to support successful event execution and operational efficiency.
• Operational Readiness & Asset Care Ensure all event materials, operational tools, and promotional assets are cleaned, stored, maintained, and prepared for future activations and events.
• Continuous Improvement & Support Identify operational improvement opportunities and support initiatives aimed at improving event execution quality, operational efficiency, and customer engagement. , Skills and Experience and Education, Education
• Grade 12 / Matric (Essential) Experience
• 1–3 years FMCG, events, logistics, merchandising, or operational support experience
• Exposure to customer-facing environments and promotional activities advantageous
• Experience handling stock, assets, or event equipment preferred Skills

• Branding and promotional support capability
