Job Description
Locations: South Neighborhood (Case and Holden Halls) Starting Pay Rate: $17/ hour As a Fall Semester 2026 Student Cook, you will be responsible for assisting full-time staff members with the preparation, cooking, and serving of food for all meal options for that venue. You must also be knowledgeable of all relevant food safety regulations, standards, and guidelines to ensure the safe handling and serving of all meals to customers. It is your job to make sure the guests of Culinary Services receive the most outstanding customer service Cooking, preparing, and serving food in dining halls Kitchen clean up after meals are served Other duties as assigned If you need assistance applying to this position, please contact South Human Resources at RHS.

Required Qualifications Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year) Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service Ability to stand for long periods of time Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision Must be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population Must be able to work nights and 1 shift every weekend, or two shifts every other weekend.
