SUMMARY

Are you a recent Accounting graduate ready to make your mark in the fast-paced world of international consumer goods? A leader in distributing high-demand products across global markets, is looking for a detail-driven and ambitious Bookkeeper to join their finance team.

This role is perfect for someone with a sharp eye for accuracy in financial reporting, excellent communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines. Our client is looking to employ a Bookkeeper based in Paarden Eiland.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare/maintain management accounts.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register/ensure accuracy in asset valuations.
  • Prepare depreciation and vehicle journals.
  • Perform cost accounting on delivery to customers
  • Post transactions for foreign bank accounts.
  • Conduct customer and supplier reconciliations
  • Liaise with banking providers and SARS.
  • Conduct VAT recons and/or audits to submit on the SARS platform.
  • Resolve internal and external Email queries.
  • Complete monthly reporting to various suppliers.
  • Complete quarterly rebate reports various suppliers.
  • Prepare monthly Creditors list for month end payments.
  • Assist with Financial year end processes.

Requirements:

  • Matric is essential
  • Diploma / B.Com Degree in Finance/Accounting is a must
  • 1 - 3 years Bookkeeping experience in an accounting environment
  • Computer literate on Sage and Pastel / similar package
  • Good understanding of GAAP
  • Proficient in accounting software/Microsoft Office Suite (Sage Evolution is Preferred)
