Pretoria, South Africa B4i Project Full-time

Introduction

The purpose of the Business Development Consultant is to drive sustainable revenue growth for B4i Academy through the identification, development and conversion of new business opportunities within the corporate Skills Development and training market.

The position is responsible for the full business development and sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through needs analysis, solution development, proposal preparation, negotiation and closing.

The Business Development Consultant is expected to develop a thorough understanding of prospective clients' businesses, workforce development requirements, Skills Development priorities, SETA requirements and B-BBEE objectives and to translate these into innovative, commercially viable and tailor-made training and Skills Development solutions.

The role has a particular focus on developing relationships with medium and large organisations, primarily those with annual turnover exceeding R50 million and with the capacity and requirement to implement training interventions involving meaningful learner volumes.

The Business Development Consultant acts as a trusted commercial and Skills Development advisor to prospective and existing clients. While the Consultant is responsible for identifying the opportunity, advising the client, structuring the proposed solution and securing the business, the operational facilitation, administration and delivery of contracted services remain the responsibility of the relevant B4i Academy operational functions.

The position is highly target-driven and requires an individual who is commercially minded, relationship-focused and strongly motivated by winning new business and closing sales.
