Role Overview: As a Project Controls Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in providing scheduling support for our esteemed clients. Your key responsibilities will include: â Developing, maintaining, and overseeing construction CPM schedules. â Analysing project documents, data, and specifications to create accurate baseline schedules that encompass all necessary dates, activities, and milestones. â Updating progress schedules with detailed reporting and narratives. â Assessing project schedules and providing recommendations to align with execution goals. â Conducting critical path analyses, identifying scheduling issues, and suggesting corrective actions by running time impact analyses. â Monitoring contractor progress and presenting findings to management for informed decision-making. â Creating metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program. â Managing and reporting on costs and resources. â Identifying and assessing risks and impacts within project schedules. â Communicating project status and challenges effectively. What Weâre Looking For: Experience: Experience in the construction industry between 2 to 5 years. Engineering, Project management, Quantity Surveying or relevant professional design team experience between 2 to 5 years. Education: Tertiary degree in project management, architecture, engineering, quantity surveying, construction, or a related field focused on scheduling and construction programs. Relevant experience may substitute for a tertiary degree. Employment Type: Full-Time Position. Skills: â Expertise in Cost Control, Cost Management, and Project Control. â Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling abilities. â Proficient analytical skills. â Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. â Competency in software use, with proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 being advantageous. â Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with a primary focus on Excel. â Understanding of construction methodologies and practices. â Ability to accurately interpret construction documents. â Exceptional oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills. â Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. â Willingness to travel to construction sites as needed. Location: Preference for candidates in the Cape Town area. Though the role is remote, face-to-face interaction with the team may be required occasionally.
