Overview: Our client is an independent, owner-managed financial services group based in the UK. They specialise in the creation of offshore asset management companies, the establishment of fund structures across offshore jurisdictions, as well as fund administration and corporate services. Owing to continued client growth, they are looking to add to their dynamic operational team. Responsibilities: · Assisting with all steps of preparing Monthly and Quarterly Management Accounts for the company, including all reconciliations, fee calculations, sales invoices etc · Preparing and maintaining core financial records including general ledger, trial balance, bank reconciliations etc · Sending out invoices to clients and follow ups on outstanding amounts · Preparing Annual Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS, including cash flows and other AFS related reconciliations, audit queries / changes etc · Managing all aspects of the company’s audit, including requesting audit proposal, running audit timeline meetings, answering audit queries, follow ups with internal/external parties to make sure all queries are answered timeously and that the audit is running smoothly and deadlines are met · Preparing/maintaining the payment schedule for the company, requesting relevant approvals, loading payments, ensuring all payments made according to the cash control policy and deadlines · Preparing/maintaining the payment schedule/s for Client payments, requesting relevant approvals, loading payments, ensuring all payments made according to the relevant cash control policies and deadlines · Supporting and building effective relationships with the team and external parties, including clients · Assisting with day-to-day ad-hoc rquests from clients/management Requirements: · Ideally 2+ years’ post article experience in a similar role · IFRS knowledge · Professional accountancy qualification i.e., CA(SA), ACA etc. · Proficient in Microsoft Applications, in particular Excel · Experience with Sage One (beneficial but not essential) Skills and Attributes: · Excellent attention to detail · Strong work ethic, self-motivated, organised, and able to work to deadlines · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · Commitment to being part of a team · Strong problem-solving / reconciliation skills · Commitment to professional growth
