Position Overview

A business in the construction sector is seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimations, tender preparation, and project support. This is a hands-on role requiring accuracy, research ability, and excellent communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze plans and specifications to assess cost requirements

  • Compile detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, and subcontracting

  • Prepare bid proposals and collaborate with the project team

  • Conduct market research and liaise with suppliers

  • Maintain cost records and submit regular cost reports

  • Support project execution with technical and financial input

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying(Beneficial but not required)

  • Registered Quantity Surveyor

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role

  • The following certifications are advantageous:

    • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE)

    • CSI Certification

    • Construction- or plumbing-related professional licenses

  • Required skills:

    • Strong analytical and numerical ability

    • Proficiency in cost estimation and budgeting

    • Excellent communication and attention to detail

    • Familiarity with relevant software

Kwalifikasies en Vereistes

  • Diploma of graad in Quantity Surveying(Voordelig,maar nie n vereiste nie)

  • Geregistreerde QS

  • Minimum 2 jaar ondervinding in 'n soortgelyke rol

  • Volgende sertifiserings is voordelig:

    • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE)

    • CSI-sertifisering

    • Professionele lisensies verwant aan konstruksie of loodgieterswerk

  • Vaardighede benodig:

    • Sterk analitiese en wiskundige insig

    • Vaardigheid in kosteberekening en begroting
