Role Purpose
We are seeking an exceptional Project Director to manage and lead projects in South Africa.

What This Job Involves

• Providing Leadership and Direction for the Project(s)
• Be main point of contact.
• Develop, monitor and report on Development wide KPI's for the design, tendering and construction activities, inclusive of safety and quality.
• Leadership and management of the JLL team
• Responsible for development and monitoring of the Master Programme
• Responsible for development of Due Diligence Report, Project Implementation Strategy & Project Management Plan.
• Establishment of short-term milestones and delivery outcomes
• Assisting the Design/Technical Director in the review and challenging of the designs and design release packages.
• Identify the overall Authority approvals processes and applications with the Technical and Consultant Teams as part of the Master Programme.
• Oversee the administration of the Consultant and Contractor engagements with the Design Consultant, Commercial Consultant, Construction managers and Senior Contracts Manager Facilitating all high-level presentations necessary for
• Establishment of Project committee structures, communications and stakeholder management.
• Responsible for overall change control and management and ensuring the reasoning, scope and costs are sufficiently defined by the Lead Consultant and Cost Consultant.
• Identify major design and construction risks and mitigation measures including review of the organizational performance of the site supervision & technical review teams, inspectors, labor productivity, suppliers, and sub-contractors at a programme level.
• Overseeing the overall construction and logistics activities with the various external Consultants

Desired Skills And Experience For This

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
• Master's degree in Project Management or Business Administration is often preferred
• 15+ years of experience in construction project management
• 7-10 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale, complex projects.
• Project Management Professional (PMP),PRINCE2 Practitioner, Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) depending on the specific industry.
• In-depth understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
• Knowledge of contract law and construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC)
