Job Advert Summary

Greenway Farms is looking for a Maintenance Assistant (CILT) .This role will be responsible for inspecting all Assets (Farm Machinery and Implements) and carrying out cleaning, inspections, lubrication and tightening on the farm. The primary objective is to ensure that all farm machinery, are inspected covering daily startup and weekly and prioritising service or repair work required in house or externally with the Maintenance in good working condition to support the farm's productivity and efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

  • At least 2 years previous experience in farm maintenance.
  • Proven experience in maintaining the following:
  • General maintenance
  • Servicing of tractors
  • Extensive repair and maintenance knowledge of farm equipment including tillage machinery, planters, sprayers, harvesters, and irrigation equipment.

Education:

  • A mechanical/maintenance qualification will be an advantage.
  • MS Office and Excel Skills and CRM Knowledge
  • Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Outdoor work.
  • Good mobility to ensure access to hard-to-reach areas.
  • Should be able to operate farm machinery without restriction.
  • Hands on.
Duties and Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform Daily Startup Inspections on all Farm Equipment (Tractors, Sprayers and Harvesters.)
  • Perform Daily Startups on Implements planned for use each day.
  • Upholding CILT standards.
  • Report on Deviations daily to the Maintenance Specialist.
  • Make recommendations regarding work required and suggested service provider
  • Plan and Prioritise work required and ensure inclusion of work on the work planner in conjunction with Maintenance Specialist
  • Health and Safety Compliance.
  • Root cause reporting and hazard identification
  • Check and report on Daily fuel Fill ups.
