A well-established technical operations provider is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician in the Western Cape to deliver high-quality installations, maintenance, and customer support across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate installation readiness, including measurements, power supply, accessibility, and required tools
  • Compile complete installation packs with tools, parts, and accessories
  • Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements and complete site-specific risk assessments
  • Perform accurate installation of all products, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery
  • Conduct repairs, servicing, and fault-finding on mechanical and electrical components of doors and docking equipment
  • Enforce quality control standards and ensure adherence to installation processes
  • Complete professional commissioning and handover, including manuals, certificates, and warranties
  • Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and PPE in safe and functional condition
  • Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
  • Assist junior staff, share technical knowledge, and support the team when needed
Requirements
  • Grade 12 with English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Technical Trade Certificate (Tertiary Trade Certificate advantageous)
  • Valid South African driver's licence
  • Valid forklift licence
  • Ability to work with hand tools and power tools
  • Welding skills (qualification advantageous)
  • Working at Heights qualification
  • Risk Assessment and First Aid Level 1 certifications
  • Scaffolding erection and inspection qualification
  • Minimum 3 years as a Junior Field Technician, or 3 years technical/electrical/industrial experience
  • Physically capable of performing installations and able to pass an annual medical examination
  • Computer literate and fluent in English
