Senior Accountant

A well-established organisation based in Centurion is seeking a driven, detail-oriented and solutions-focused Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of core financial processes, contribute to strategic decision-making, and step into a leadership position within a results-driven environment.
Duties:
- Manage and oversee debtor and creditor accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
- Supervise monthly reconciliations and reporting
- Lead annual audit preparations and liaise with External Auditors
- Ensure compliance with VAT and tax regulations
- Provide strategic financial insights to guide management decisions
- Support the implementation and improvement of financial systems and internal controls
- Mentor junior team members and support their development
- Maintain financial data integrity and accuracy
- Assist with special financial projects as required
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- BCom in Accounting or a related field
- SAIPA qualification preferred but not essential
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Engineering and Mining industry experience is highly beneficial
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
