Step into a role where technical accounting meets complexity, precision, and high-impact decision-making. This organisation is looking for an Accountant who is ready to take ownership of financial processing, hedge accounting, consolidations, and reporting across multiple entities.

You'll manage everything from daily transactions to multi-entity consolidations - and play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial clarity across the group.

This is an excellent opportunity for a post-articles candidate who wants broad exposure and the chance to influence systems, controls, and the overall financial backbone of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process daily financial transactions including AP, AR, and GL entries
  • Execute vendor and internal payments accurately and on time
  • Manage bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist with liquidity planning
  • Compile and analyse monthly management and financial reports
  • Support month-end and year-end processes
  • Apply accurate hedge accounting and maintain required documentation
  • Coordinate hedge transactions and report on positions and performance
  • Consolidate financial information across multiple entities
  • Reconcile and eliminate inter-company transactions
  • Prepare audit documentation and respond to audit queries
  • Strengthen financial controls, processes, and system workflows
  • Assist with financial structures for new projects and initiatives

Job Experience and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (essential)
  • Completed SAICA articles at a registered audit firm
  • Minimum 2 years post-articles experience
  • Experience with hedge accounting and financial consolidations (non-negotiable)
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and standard costing
  • Experience in a multi-entity environment is advantageous
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication skills
  • Able to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure
  • Organised, proactive, and collaborative in a team environment
