Mobile Developer
  • This is a 12-month Contract, (renewal on performance yearly)
  • Preference will be given to South African Based Resources

Job Description

  • We are looking for a Mobile Developer with +5 years of experience to Support and maintain the entire mobile application lifecycle (concept, design, system development, test, release and support);
  • To develop the UIF mobile applications following the DEVOPS methodology stipulated below:
  • Interpret business requirements into technical specification documents;
  • Produce technical, end-user/training documentation, and operational procedures;
  • Produce fully functional mobile applications as per the Fund`s approved specification;
  • Conduct unit testing and UI tests to identify malfunctions prior handing over the solution to the QA team;
  • Deployment of the mobile application on the various mobile APP platforms (e.g. Istore, Playstore, AppStore, etc.).
  • Responsible for successful business outcomes as measured by stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Proposed new mobile application innovations in the Fund;
  • The mobile application must integrate with the existing and new applications in the Fund;
  • Troubleshoot and debug the mobile application to optimize performance.

Skills and attributes required

  • Proven work experience as a Mobile developer;
  • Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android market;
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language like Swift and Java;
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs;
  • Familiarity with OOP design principles;
  • Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude;
  • Ability to perform in a team environment.
