This well-established engineering organisation, based in Centurion, is looking for a Senior Accountant who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and making sense of the details. You'll join a busy finance team where accuracy matters, solutions are valued, and your input actually influences decisions. It's a role for someone who likes ownership, variety, and the satisfaction of keeping the financial engine running smoothly.

Duties:
  • Manage and oversee debtor and creditor accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
  • Supervise monthly reconciliations and reporting
  • Lead annual audit preparations and liaise with external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with VAT and tax regulations
  • Provide strategic financial insights to guide management decisions
  • Support the implementation and improvement of financial systems and internal controls
  • Mentor junior team members and support their development
  • Maintain financial data integrity and accuracy
  • Assist with special financial projects as required
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • BCom in Accounting or a related field
  • SAIPA qualification preferred but not essential
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Engineering and Mining industry experience is highly beneficial
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
