Accountant/Bookkeeper – Hybrid (Potchefstroom Only)

We are a growing and dynamic accounting practice seeking a Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is suited to a motivated professional based in Potchefstroom and offers a hybrid working position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Capture and maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
• Process supplier invoices, customer billing, and payments
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Prepare and assist with submission of VAT returns (VAT201)
• Assist with PAYE, UIF, SDL, and EMP submissions
• Support payroll processing and employee records
• Prepare month-end journals and basic financial reports
• Use accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Pastel)
• Ensure SARS compliance, accuracy, and deadline adherence
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, and accountants as needed
Minimum Requirements:
• 1–3 years accounting experience
• Based in Potchefstroom
• Experience with Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable internet connection
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
