Synopsis

Assist the Dealmakers and Senior Dealmakers with screening of funding enquiries;

Conduct analysis of funding applications and preparation of basic assessments for presentation to the relevant forums;

Maintenance of SAP data, including updating of enquiries, applications and due diligence stages;

Assist with general office management.

Work closely with the Administrators to achieve goals and objectives.

Job Description

  • Assist Dealmakers (DMs) and Senior Dealmakers (SDMs) with assessing funding enquiries and applications.
  • To assist with conducting basic assessments of funding applications and presenting such to the relevant forums.
  • Support with the preparation of client files, assessment templates, and due diligence documentation.
  • Coordinate scheduling of meetings, as well as follow-ups, and administrative support for client engagements.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments and client interactions
  • Provide general operational support to the Gauteng regional team as directed.
  • Assist the Administrator with the management of the pipeline, including updating of statuses, notes, etc., when Dealmakers/Senior Dealmakers are on due diligences.
  • Assist the Administrator with coordinating the administrative tasks, scheduling, and follow-ups.

Qualification and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree or Post Graduate Qualification in the relevant field

  • The preferred candidate must have a minimum of 2-5 years' experience in field of discipline.

  • Demonstrates good analytical skills,

  • Understanding of development finance imperatives would be an advantage.

  • Candidate must have an appreciation of the role of the IDC.

  • Exemplary self-leadership.

  • Experience in engaging, managing and negotiating with clients.

  • Proven track record of effectively interacting with team and investment forums.

  • Effective, versatile and action oriented.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Good report writing skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities

  • Very well organised and persistent, with drive and determination to achieve goals.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
