We're a unique platform dedicated to sharing real-time alerts of wildlife sightings in the Kruger National Park, Pilanesberg, and other game reserves.

Thanks to our vibrant community, we've built one of the biggest viral wildlife platforms in the world across Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and our website.

We're now expanding with a groundbreaking AI-powered wildlife monitoring / detecting system. After successfully building the software and securing our first two deals, we're looking for someone who can lead sales, grow our client base, and help us take this service to scale.

The Role:

We are looking for a driven, bush-savvy, and tech-comfortable sales leader to head up our sales of our wildlife monitoring service and our internal sales department. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, engaging with lodges, conservation organisations, private residences, and hospitality businesses, and closing deals.

This is a target-focused role, where your understanding of both the bush and the product's adaptability will be key. Our system has use cases beyond safari lodges, including research, conservation, marketing, and guest experience, and we need someone who can see, articulate, and sell that value.

We're looking for someone who not only thrives on results but can eventually oversee and manage a growing sales team as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Client Acquisition

  • Drive sales of the wildlife monitoring system to lodges, properties, and conservation organisations.
  • Identify and pursue new markets and use cases for the product.
  • Present, pitch, and negotiate deals with potential clients.

· Approach the public and foster engaged communities around the product, creating excitement and awareness that drives both adoption and long-term loyalty.

Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers in the safari, lodge, and conservation space.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients through the sales process.
  • Provide ongoing client support, including assistance with managing WhatsApp groups, onboarding staff, and ensuring smooth day-to-day use of the system.
  • Manage upgrades and add-ons when required, ensuring clients are supported as their infrastructure and system needs grow.

Product Knowledge and Adaptability

  • Deeply understand the wildlife monitoring system's technical setup and be able to explain its capabilities clearly.
  • Work closely with the technical team to ensure client needs are matched with product capabilities.

Leadership and Growth

  • Oversee and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Build and lead a team of sales reps as the product grows.
  • Report directly to the directors with progress, challenges, and opportunities.

General Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales, ideally in tech, hospitality, tourism, or conservation.
  • Strong interest in wildlife and a solid understanding of the bush.
  • Tech-savvy and able to learn complex systems quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on punctuality and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and events.
  • Self-motivated, commission-driven, and hungry to grow revenue.

Skills and Experience:

· Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in sales.

· Proficiency in CRM systems: Salesforce experience is a strong advantage.

· A degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field would be beneficial.

Hours and Location:

  • Office-based work in Parktown North, Johannesburg, 2193.
  • Travel required for sales visits and client meetings.
  • Hours: 08:00 to 17:00, five days a week.

Expected Start Date:

Immediately or as soon as possible would be preferable.
