Job Title: Pump Technician/Fitter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pump Technician/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of pumps and related systems. This role requires a strong understanding of hydraulic systems and mechanical components, along with excellent troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Install pumps and related equipment according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks and servicing on pumps to ensure optimal performance.
• Repair: Diagnose and repair faulty pumps and related systems, replacing parts as necessary.
• Troubleshooting: Identify issues with pump operation, analyze performance data, and implement solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on equipment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required/Trade Test
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working with three-phase electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or high-power residential settings.
• Technical Skills:
• Extensive knowledge pumps, such as submersible pumps, centrifugal pumps etc
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools and testing equipment.
• Good understanding of bearings & seals
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a larger project team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors, on ladders, and in industrial settings.

Work Environment:

• Typically works in commercial or industrial buildings, construction sites, or maintenance settings.
• May require overtime or on-call work for emergency repairs or maintenance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From R15 000,00 per month
