Position Overview:
We are seeking a Bioanalyst to join our dynamic chemical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible to develop and validate bioanalytical methods and analyse biological samples to support clinical trials and research studies. The Bioanalyst will work closely with a team of scientists and researchers, utilising analytical laboratory equipment and techniques to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data. This role is critical in ensuring that all analyses meet regulatory standards and scientific excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantitative and qualitative bioanalytical tests on biological matrices (e.g. plasma, serum, urine) using LC-MS/MS.
- Develop and validate bioanalytical methods in compliance with regulatory guidelines (e.g. FDA, ICH and GLP).
- Review and interpret analytical data, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accuracy and precision of results.
- Document and report analytical findings accurately, maintaining meticulous records of all experiments and results.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and functioning optimally.
- Participate in internal and external audits; ensure full compliance with quality systems and laboratory safety protocols.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of bioanalytical techniques and instrumentation, especially LC-MS/MS and HPLC.
- Familiarity with GLP, FDA and ICH M10 Bioanalytical Method Validation, and other relevant guidelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) or MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field. A diploma in medical technology or laboratory sciences with relevant experience may also be considered.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a bioanalytical or chemical laboratory, preferably within a CRO or regulated environment.
- Proven experience in method validation for clinical or preclinical studies.
- Proficiency in laboratory data systems and analytical software (e.g. Analyst, SCIEX OS, MassLynx, Chemstation, MassHunter, Watson LIMS).
