Jacaranda International Pre-Primary and School is an independent British International Curriculum school located in Centurion, Gauteng. We are looking for a qualified and experienced High School English Teacher to join our dedicated team in 2026

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Cambridge International Education curriculum in the following Year Groups:

  • Year 9
  • IGCSE

Key Responsibilities:

The Educator is responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and curriculum-aligned lessons in accordance with the British International Curriculum.

  • Teach English to students in Years 9 and IGCSE in accordance with the British International Curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective and engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards.
  • Assess and monitor student performance, providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to uphold the school's academic and professional standards.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the broader school community.

This position requires a dedicated and adaptable educator with a passion for academic excellence and student development. The appointed educator must ensure a dynamic and supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and continuous student progress, in addition to being a proactive leader, capable of fostering a stimulating and inclusive educational environment aligned with Jacaranda International Pre-Primary and School's vision and values.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, with specialization in English
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level, ideally with Cambridge and/or British International curriculum experience
  • Strong subject matter expertise and the ability to engage students in critical and applied learning
  • Excellent planning, communication, and digital integration skills
