Position Level:

Work Environment:

A candidate for this position will be required to join our team in an on-site basis, working from our office premises in Durban North. The required in-office work hours will start at 08:00 and finish at 16:30, Monday to Friday.

Salary Details:

Renumeration for services will be discussed as part of the interview process. The final salary amount will be determined based on a combination of the candidate's own salary expectations and our own assessment of their skill/experience level.

Employment Basis:

The successful candidate will be employed on a six-month contract basis with the possibility of a future contract extension or permanent employment.

Position Summary:

TDC is looking for someone who is enthusiastic about coding to join our team. A potential candidate for this position must be a hard working/self-starting individual with strong problem-solving skills who can work well within a team context. As a member of our team, you will be building, testing, deploying and supporting various elements of complex business systems for one or more of our clients. The projects will have tight deadlines, requiring team members to be well organised and in constant communication regarding project deliverables.

Position Responsibilities:

Your role in the development of various systems will comprise of the following areas of concern:

·      Building a client-side UI using the Angular framework (HTML, CSS and TypeScript)

·      Implementing our client's branding and design elements into a web-app context

·      Implementing HTTP requests to a server-side API

·      Building of pages to display and manage various sets of data (e.g. Grids, Forms, Charts)

·      Integration of DevExtreme Angular components

Requirements

In order to be considered for this position, the candidate must have experience/exposure in working with the following technologies:

·      Experience in front end web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

·      Experience in building applications with the Angular framework (version 10+)

·      Experience working with TypeScript and Node Package Manager

·      Experience working with GIT/GitHub

Candidates will be required to produce references and/or showcase their knowledge/experience with the above-mentioned technologies.

Beneficial Skills/Experience

The following skills/experience will be beneficial in our consideration of a potential candidate:

·      Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

·      Certification in related fields (e.g. Microsoft Azure)

·      Experience with DevExtreme Angular components

·      Developing and testing various business logic methods.

·      Implementing security and user authorization procedures.

·      Managing various SQL Server database elements (Tables, Views, Stored Procedures).

·      Implementing various database queries using Entity Framework.

·      Creating and populating various DevExtreme Reports.

·      Implementing/interfacing with various Microsoft Azure services.

Requirements

In order to be considered for this position, the candidate must have experience/exposure in working with the following technologies:

·      A good grasp of web application technology and system life-cycle principles

·      Experience in building ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core web applications

·      A good knowledge of the C# language (e.g. LINQ queries and Lambda Expressions)

·      Experience working with NuGet packages.

·      Experience working with Entity Framework as a Database ORM.

·      A good understanding and experience of SQL and relational databases.

·      Experience working with GIT/GitHub.

Candidates will be required to produce references and/or showcase their knowledge/experience with the above-mentioned technologies.
