Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client's team in Wellington, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and a proven track record of accurately assessing project costs and preparing competitive bids.

Responsibilities:

- Review project drawings and specifications to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects
- Analyze project risk factors and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential cost overruns
- Present and defend estimates to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Monitor project progress and cost variations to ensure estimate accuracy
- Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to inform future estimates

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating
- Proficiency in estimating software (such as Procore, Bluebeam, or PlanSwift)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
