Co-ordinate the daily workshop functions by ensuring that repairs and maintenance of cranes for the assigned branch(es) are concluded to required quality standards and timeframes.

Minimum Requirements

Matriculation Certificate

Certification is Supervision NQF Level 4

Qualified Mechanic – Completed Trade Test - NQF Level 5

Product knowledge for ; Liebherr / Tadano / Faun / Grove cranes

5 years' experience as a Field Service Technician

Valid Driver's licence

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan the daily workload for the workshop team and its communication to subordinates
  • Conclude weekly service schedules and communicate corresponding arrangements
  • Procure workshop supplies and materials up to a maximum of R5,000.00
  • Assist with mechanical, hydraulic and computer repairs as required
  • Train staff in new technology on an ongoing basis
  • Attend to breakdowns as and when required
  • Co-ordinate and manage branch-based field service technicians including their assignment to breakdowns, ensuring that they have adequate supplies to complete work as assigned
  • Conclude cost allocations for parts and materials
