We are seeking a skilled and experienced Murex Application Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Murex, a leading trading and risk management platform. As a Murex Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing Murex solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities differ across client engagements but may include:

• Development and Refactoring:
  • Lead the development and refactoring of new Murex workflows and integration points to enhance system efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Drive the development, refactoring, and housekeeping of Datamarts, extractions, and associated scripts for optimal data management.
• Migration and Interface Enhancement:
  • Spearhead the migration of trades, market data, and other reference data to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Improve the existing interface between Murex and the external settlement instruction repository for enhanced settlement instructions.
• Integration with Third-Party Systems:
  • Play a pivotal role in integrating Murex with third-party confirmation and settlement systems to streamline processes and enhance overall system capabilities.
• Upstream/Downstream Integrations:
  • Build new up/downstream integrations to expand the functionality and connectivity of the Murex platform.
  • Undertake the conversion of existing integration points with Murex to accommodate version changes and updates.
• MxML Development and Scripting:
  • Lead the development of MxML workflows and exchanges to optimize data exchange within the Murex system.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as bsh, ksh, etc., for efficient automation and seamless integration processes.
• Support and Collaboration:
  • Assist existing support groups in resolving integration-related requests or issues, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted workflow.
  • Collaborate with technical teams when necessary to resolve environment-related issues and implement enhancements in preparation for cloud deployment.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
  • Perform various levels of testing for assigned deliverables, ensuring the reliability and functionality of Murex applications.
  • Actively participate in formal release cycles, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to guarantee the successful deployment of solutions.
• Contribution to Overall Solutions:
  • Analyze, formulate, propose, and contribute to overall solutions aligned with project deliverables, demonstrating a commitment to achieving project goals and client satisfaction.
• Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  • Apply hands-on experience with Murex MxML Exchange development, showcasing proficiency in this critical aspect of Murex application development.
  • Utilize knowledge of the pre-trade framework and demonstrate proficiency in the MSL scripting language for comprehensive system development and optimization.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• Murex Proficiency:
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Murex, showcasing a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in configuring, customizing, and integrating the platform.
  • Exhibit an in-depth understanding of Murex workflows, integration points, and data management best practices.
• Technical Acumen:
  • Possess strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, or C++, demonstrating the ability to contribute to the development and enhancement of Murex workflows and scripts.
  • Showcase expertise in scripting languages such as bash and Korn shell for efficient automation and seamless integration processes.
• Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Exhibit a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving, showcasing the ability to analyze complex issues related to Murex workflows, integrations, and data management.
  • Demonstrate creativity in proposing innovative solutions to overcome challenges and improve system efficiency.
