Butchery Manager

Job description:

Our well-established store set in the heart of the Joburg community is seeking a vibrant Butchery Manager to our dynamic team. As a butchery manager you will be responsible for maintaining a well-run butchery team by ensuring smooth operations and positive customer experiences of the store.

Key performance areas:

• Perform people management functions in the butchery.
• Ensure client satisfaction of our customers.
• Ensure product and stock availability through effective planning.
• Take responsibility for all quality control activities in the butchery environment.
• Manage the administrative functions within the butchery.
• Perform stock management functions within the butchery.
• Manage all Hygiene and Safety activities of the butchery.
• Conduct various ad-hoc responsibilities to assist the team.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• The successful candidate must have:
• Must have matric or a NQF 4 qualification.
• Blockman NQF 3 qualification would be advantageous.
• At least 3 years' experience as a Butchery Manager in a customer centric environment.
• Basic knowledge of first aid will be advantageous.
• Meat Industry Experience.
• Knowledge of butchery hygiene and safety standards.
• Knowledge of meat cuts/products.
