Your key job responsibilities as the SQL Developer in Cape Town will include:

  • Collaborating across all stages of development, from analysis to implementation and support.
  • Developing and testing solutions in alignment with specifications.

  • Exploring new and effective methods for acquiring, integrating, and analyzing data relevant to the company's business model.

  • Performing root cause analysis on data and processes to address specific business questions and uncover areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining and supporting legacy SQL server systems in a business-critical environment.

Requirements for this SQL Developer job in Cape Town:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a business intelligence role.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with relational databases, including writing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Proven experience in optimizing T-SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with relational data modeling (e.g., Normal Form).
  • Experience in building data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and reporting.
  • Ability to provide accurate technical estimates.
  • Experience in conceptualizing new solutions based on business requirements.
