We are seeking a talented and passionate Automation Engineer to join our growing research & development team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative mechatronic systems for smart buildings and elements. Responsibilities

  • Design and Development
    • Design, develop and coordinate mechatronic systems for building automation, including HVAC control, lighting control, security systems, and energy management among many others.
    • Design, develop and coordinate mechatronic systems for construction automation, primarily linked to plastering robots and machines.
    • Create detailed schematics, drawings, and technical specifications for automated systems.
    • Select and integrate sensors, actuators, controllers, and other components.
    • Develop and implement control algorithms and software for building automation systems.
    • Utilize simulation tools to model and optimize system performance.
  • Implementation and Testing
    • Install and test building automation systems in a laboratory setting. 
    • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during implementation.
    • Provide specifications for on-site installation and testing before commissioning.
  • Collaboration and Innovation
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to integrate automation systems into building designs.
    • Collaborate with external service providers and manage projects with multiple stakeholders.
    • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in building automation technologies and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing mechatronic systems, ideally in the building automation industry.
  • Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and simulation tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Natural affinity for research and development.
