We are looking for an expert IR Consultant to join our company.

With expertise in labour law and in-depth understanding of various industries.

Key Responsibilities

:

  • Chairing disciplinary inquires, facilitating incapacity investigations and grievances.
  • Assisting companies in restructuring and processes related to operational requirements.
  • Representing companies at the CCMA and Bargaining Councils in Conciliations and Arbitrations.
  • Consulting and advising clients on compliance with relevant labour legislation.
  • Consulting and advising on all IR related issues.
  • Negotiations with unions on behalf of companies.

  • Client Relations / Business development:

  • Forming strong relationships with current and potential clients in order to generate sales leads.

  • Analyse business environment of clients and potential clients to identify potential gaps for additional solutions.
  • Generate new client leads to meet business development targets.

Minimum Requirements

: 

  • Completed Human Resource Degree or Industrial/Labour Relations Degree or Law Degree.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Bargaining Council Main Agreements and Sectoral Determinations, in addition to the application thereof in practice.
  • Own transport, valid driver's licence and willing to travel.
  • Fully bilingual in English & Afrikaans.
  • 3 years experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients.
  • Problem solving and critical reasoning skills.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolutions skills.
  • Time management and able to perform under pressure.

Previous Experience

:

  • Industrial Relations or Labour Law expertise.
  • Employment legislation knowledge and application.
  • CCMA exposure.
