TrueSense IO is a leading South African IoT innovation company building scalable connectivity and monitoring solutions across smart metering, energy, utilities, and industrial sectors.

We're looking for an
IoT Solutions Engineer
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in
full stack web development
and
IoT network technologies
(LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, LTE-M, BLE), with a passion for building integrated hardware-software ecosystems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop web applications and dashboards for IoT device management and data visualization
  • Integrate IoT devices and gateways with APIs, MQTT brokers, and cloud platforms
  • Work on embedded integrations including
    PCB interfaces
    , sensors, and data concentrators
  • Implement and test LoRaWAN and NB-IoT network integrations (using LNS platforms such as ChirpStack, Netmore, or Actility)
  • Collaborate with hardware and cloud teams to deploy and monitor end-to-end IoT solutions
  • Support network operations, device provisioning, and system troubleshooting


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in
    Python / JavaScript / / React / SQL
  • Experience with LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, MQTT, and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with PCB design basics, sensor interfacing
    , and communication protocols (Modbus, M-Bus, DLMS/COSEM)
  • Hands-on experience with
    cloud IoT platforms
    (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or similar)
  • Understanding of
    network architecture
    and data pipelines for IoT systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills


Nice to Have

  • Experience with GIS mapping tools or network visualization
  • Knowledge of
    satellite IoT
    , edge computing, or embedded Linux (Raspberry Pi, ESP32, etc.)
  • Passion for scalable, sustainable technology that transforms industries
